Hello,

I humbly come to the group asking for a little feedback on a
investigative project that I've started working on. I have a nice
supply of BF998 dual gate MOSFETs from KE6F, but I know very little
about how to use them properly. I've had a hard time finding
comprehensive information about the theory behind the biasing and
applications of the DGFET. So I decided to start from the ground up in
learning how to use these devices. I've detailed my first round of
experimentation on a blog post, which you can find here:
<http://www.nt7s.com/blog/2008/06/dual-gate-mosfet-investigations-biasing/>

I would appreciate any feedback, guidance, or insight that anyone
could provide. Dual gate MOSFETs seem to be fairly neglected these
days, but they intrigue me quite a bit. I'd love to learn more about
them and share what I learn with others who are interested.

Thanks,
Jason Milldrum, NT7S

perhaps reading the literature about the Electro Luminescence Receiver may have
a clue that would help your understanding?
http://www.pan-tex.net/usr/r/receivers/

lots of pages there and sometime a bit confusing to navigate,
but there are tons of info there.

The ELR is a nice platform to experiment and play on,
if you aren't into the Manhattan Madness Method, heheheh.
Wide traces on the boards allow for many heat and reheat cycles
allowing you to try lots of different ideas without ruining the board(s).
David White is very helpful if you have any questions.

We used the audio section to start learning about spice files.
Some links about that at the bottom of this page:

sorry should have read all of your web page b4 I mentioned the ELR,
I see now you have already found it.
