re: Help IDing a Ham Radio Magazine DigiRatt PLL 2 PC board project Hello to the Group, Pulled from a local Amateur related flea market box of stuff... I found a nearly un-built PC board... there are some labels on the board indicating it was made from a project printed in Ham Radio Magazine. The other available PCB label states "DIGIRATT" AND "PLL 2". One of the PCB solder eyelets states "AUDIO" and the output appears to be a TO-220 transistor, possibly used to key a DC output ... RTTY current loop? With no chips in the sockets... I guessing the input leading to a 14 pin IC is an audio op-amp. Two trailing 8 pin dips are probably tone detectors like the 567. There are four TTL chips over on the other side near the output, one being a 7404, a 7400 and two unknowns... Any chance anyone on here might know which specific HR Magazine article this board was made for? I tried to search the on-line archives with no hits/ results on DIGIRATT or PLL2, so this is step 2. ...my apologies, turns out what I found was a project BASED on the DIGIRATT...  You were correct Skipp...it appears to have been from Ham Radio Mag, Sept. 1977, pg 26. -V.

Hello everyone, thank you for your quick answers to my DigiRatt PLL2 article request. Turns out it's one of a series of similar articles and updates by the author. The PLL2 version article is dated October 1978 and I have a PC board for it. Anyone remember Circuit Board Specialists... even FAR Circuits for project PC Boards? Hi Vern, Turns out the required article for my board is from Oct 1978. And I'm sure 73 Magazine offered a lot of very similar projects. I have archive copies of both HR and 73 Magazine... have enjoyed reading those publications for many decades. Some of the older projects are still quite fun and useful to build. So again thank you to everyone and now to use the board toward an application. cheers, skipp
