Wes and the group, Wes's reply to my post on the "Math Mystery" has put the issue to rest, and my mind at ease. As promised, I've uploaded an Excel spreadsheet on Hartley capacitor networks to facilitate use of an existing variable cap by appropriate selection of fixed caps in the network. It's nothing original by me; the equations are from the article mentioned in the previous posts, and the figures and equations on Page 4.4 of EMRFD. I checked the results against PADCAP.exe, which is also credited on the worksheet. Thanks again to Wes for clearing this up! 73, Ted KX4OM
