Wow, does that bring back memories. The Radiotron Designers Handbook
beautifully complemented the pure theory books so I could rebuild an old
ARR13 and get on the air from my college room.

Ciao Maestro Guglielmo,

Radiotron Handbook .... it was a dream for me and it was too expensive too for a young ham outside the W-land...

There is an electronic pdf copy in:

electron Tube Data sheets - RCA - Radiotron Designer's Handbook - 4th Edition - 1952

BTW (Bill knows it) I am back on the air after 10 years of QRT, from 7 MHz to 50 MHz including warc

Thank you for the link to Radiotron Handbook, Gian. It brought back
memories to see coupled tuned circuits. The idea that complex coupling
between two tuned circuits can be designed to obtain constant bandwidth
over a range of frequencies I had forgotten ever seeing, and I might be
using that one of these days.

Such books were only available at libraries, I certainly only owned a
Radio Amateur's Handhook, which was only a few dollars.

Ciao - Guglielmo (W7AAZ to those of you who are not Italian)

Hi all,

A great book shop for books is ABEbooks. There copies of the Radiotron Handbook from India.

Or go to www.abebooks.com and do a search.

Many thanks for the link, Gian! All safely downloaded.
Great nostalgic reading - and quite a few good ideas
we had (nearly) forgotten about. Ah... those were the days!

Hi All,

I am glad the link was appreciated.

I am more than happy to have given the opportunity to my Maestro (Teacher=Mentor) Guglielmo (William=Bill) to review infos on complex coupling of two tuned circuits.

Thanks to Roderick for the link to the indian printer ... I bought it !!!!! Although retired ex young student I spent 20US$, including shipping, to get a "real" paper copy, although reprinted ... in 59 or 60 I bought the ARRL Handbook, at an engineering library . It had a green soft cover ... I had to avoid to go to the cinema for a few weekends ....
