Hey Folks,

I am gutting 4 old trashed out HW-32 transceivers to use the cabinets for my homebrew receiver project(s).  There are 4 sets of tubes and parts that someone might use. It includes 6AU6, 6BE6, 6EA8, 6EB8, 6GE5, 12AT7, and 12BY7.  There are four sets of air variable caps and I only plan to keep 2 sets of them.  There are other various parts of course but they're old and probably not worth salvaging. Those 6GE5 final amps are pretty hefty cuz the transceiver is rated for 200 watts PEP.

I anyone wants any of this stuff let me know and I can send them for the cost of postage.

I can use the tubes if they aren't already spoken for. ..

Gene,

If nobody else has asked, I'd be happy to take all of the crystals (even with rusty cases), L1 and T4.  And any air variable caps you don't want.  Let me know how much you want for them.

Thanks,

KE6TI, Harold Smith

Hey Folks.

I've received an overwhelming number of requests for these parts so they're essentially all spoken for.  I will do my best to fill the requests from everyone who emailed me yesterday.  Some of the transceivers are for different bands and the parts are not exactly the same in each model so I'll do the best I can to fill the requests and then post a list if there's any leftovers.  I'll probably be able to send you folks some of the air variable caps because in all my present designs I'm using DDS technology for variable oscillators. It'll take a few more days to disassemble the units because they're spread out across the work bench in the garage and I can only work out there in the early morning because of the heat. . .and then, there's the problem of identifying some of the tubes since the part no. is not readable on some of them.

I glad I had such a good response. I hated to throw that stuff out.

. . .and,  if all the s-meters are functional I may need someone to take them off my hands also.  i will need s-meters in my receiver(s) I'm building but I have some nice looking meters taken from old Collins receivers tht I will use.

My latest receiver(s) project(s) are at:   http://www.w5dor.com/W5DOR-Arduino-XCVR.html

Hi Gene,

I am interested in the air variables, if still available.

Thanks for the generous offer!
