I have been advising locals with BT addresses to ignore any messages about
access. The changes slowly underway will not affect anything I believe. Wait
until you have a problem.

If you are aware, you can use "properties" on the message to see the send
address, you may now need to to view message source using your mail client.
(you cant do this if you only use webmail.)

If you do checkyou will find odd sender or originator addresses like aol.com
!! or even tesco.com for these messages. Even this is difficult to see
inside a lot of stolen html. I suspect that real BT messages that are
important will carry your registered name not Dear BT-Yahoo user ! They will
also be signed with a name, though these have been forged too, and Warren
Buckly is no longer involved!!

Best Wishes
Alan (ex BT employee)

Thanks for the reassuring "insider" advice, Alan.
In this case it may well be that Y is trying
to get us to sign up when we don't need to - yet.

You are well-placed to advise us, so if and when
we are genuinely required to "migrate", perhaps
you could let us all know.

Michael
