I've been playing with the Parallax Propeller for some time

http://www.parallax.com/propeller/index.asp

I just got round to trying the frequency synthesis object:

http://obex.parallax.com/objects/47/

It generated a nice-looking square wave at 40 kHz, so I tried it at 10 MHz.
The waveform didn't look as good, but I only have a 100 MHz scope. I would
think that there is too much jitter and phase noise to use it for a receiver
or a transmitter, but it should be fine for testing crystals and filters, as
a sweep oscillator. I'll try controlling it from a PC via the port used for
programming the device.
